Editor's note: The Rifle Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Criminal mischief: Officers took a report at 9:09 a.m. on March 27 of a vehicle being vandalized in the 1600 block of Enterprise Court.
Spilled load: Officers were called to the 1300 block of Railroad Avenue at 11:10 p.m. on March 27 for a hazardous materials incident. The driver of a semi truck, Arshak Bagaryan, 35, of Centennial was cited for spilling diesel fuel.
Driving under revocation: Officers stopped a motorist in the 300 block of East First Street at 11:36 a.m. on March 28, as the driver was known to be wanted on a warrant. Jeffrey Dewayne Jones, 48, of Rifle was cited for the warrant and for driving while his license was under revocation.
Theft: Police were called to a business in the 1300 block of Railroad Avenue at 1:25 p.m. on March 28 on a shoplifting report. Justen Perkins, 28, of Parachute was cited for petty theft.
Warrant arrest: Officers contacted Christopher Enlow, 22, of Parachute at the County Court building in Rifle at 1:32 p.m. on March 28 regarding an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in Rifle Municipal Court. Enlow was arrested and booked at the county jail.
Stolen car: Officers were called at 4:30 p.m. on March 28 about a vehicle stolen from the 1800 block of Enterprise Court. The theft remains under investigation.
Warrant arrest: Police stopped a motorist for speeding near the skate park at 11:53 a.m. on March 29. Gabriel Isaisas Fuentes, 22, of Rifle, was found to be driving without proof of insurance. He was ticketed for the insurance violation but arrested for an active Garfield County arrest warrant.
Vicious animals: Officers are investigating a dog bite reported at 5:55 p.m. on March 29 in the 700 block of Elder Court.
Menacing: Officers are investigating a disturbance that reportedly involved menacing with a gun, reported at 1 a.m. on March 30 in the 400 block of West 25th Street.
Burglary: Police are investigating a burglary reported at a business in the 1900 block of Railroad Avenue at 7:14 a.m. on March 30. Several items were taken.
Theft: Police took a report of a break-in and vandalism at a business in the 200 block of West 20th Street at 2:49 p.m. on March 30.
Theft: Police took a report at 3:22 p.m. on March 30 of items being stolen from a customer's purse at a business in the 500 block of Railroad Avenue.
Harassment: Police were called to a disturbance at a business in the 500 block of Railroad Avenue at 4:28 p.m. on March 30. The incident involved a report of harassment between a store clerk and a customer. The incident remains under investigation.
