What a wonderful community! As this year's Grand River Gallop comes to a close, I have so many people and organizations to thank. With our biggest crowd ever (more than 185), Grand River Meals on Wheels raised a much-needed $20,000, as we have had an all-time record high of meals: 1,114 in the month of March alone. Thanks go out to our generous sponsors: C H Bernklau Lead Trust, Karen Lucas, CPA Inc., Rifle Rotary Club, Bookcliff Survey Services, Fuller Field Services, Gold Ring Pawn, Intermountain Transfer & Storage, Lori Carpenter, Weiss & Associates, P.C., CPA and Columbine Ford. Thank you to all the volunteers, including Wayne Edgeton and Rifle Recreation, Grand River Hospital District's Pet Therapy Program, Type 1 Diabetes Support Group and staff and volunteers. It just goes to show we are a community that cares deeply for our neighbors. Together, "We are Meals on Wheels."Kaaren PeckGrand River Meals on WheelsRifle
