Pot arrest: Police contacted a vehicle in the parking lot of Centennial Park after curfew on June 15 at 1 a.m. Two 17-year-old juveniles were allegedly in violation of curfew and one was allegedly in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Both were issued summons and released to parents. Theft: Police responded to a report of theft in the 900 block of East 17th Street on June 15 at 4:23 a.m., where items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.Theft: Police took several reports of items stolen from vehicles on June 15 in the 700 and 1000 blocks of East 17th Street, 1200 block of Clarkson Avenue and 1500 block of Beech Street.Pot arrest: Police received a report of juveniles smoking marijuana in the 400 block of East Avenue on June 15 at 10:58 p.m. A 16-year-old Rifle youth was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and released to his parent. DUI: Police responded to the area of West Centennial Parkway and Railroad Avenue for a two-vehicle accident on June 15 at 11:36 p.m. Following an investigation, Scott Andrew Cave, 50, of Rifle, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana, and allegedly possessing a firearm in his vehicle. No injuries were reported. Cave was taken to jail.Disorderly conduct: Police responded to the 100 block of East 5th Street on June 16 at 7:49 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. After investigation, Jerice Larae Brinklow, 25, of Rifle, was taken into custody on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Brinklow was also charged with obstructing government operations after allegedly becoming combative while in custody. DUI: Officers received a report of an accident in the 300 block of East Centennial Parkway (U.S. Highway 6) on June 16 at 10:28 p.m. Richard James Medina, 42, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving under restraint, failure to provide proof of insurance, open container and following too closely. He was taken to jail. Theft: Deputies responded to a shoplifting incident at Clark's Market in Battlement Mesa on June 16 at 4:04 p.m. A 15-year-old youth was issued a summons for theft. Warrant arrest: Deputies responded to a residence at 27653 U.S. Highway 6 near Rifle on June 16 at 11:13 a.m. and arrested Zachary Olmstead, 33, of Glenwood Springs, on an active arrest warrant. He was taken to jail.Warrant arrests: Police contacted two people for an alleged municipal code violation on June 17 at 11:17 a.m. at Lions Park. Kate Crosby, 31, of Rifle, and Michael Alva Blakeway, 26, of Rifle, were both found to have active warrants, were arrested and taken to jail. Dog at large: An animal control deputy saw a small dog running at large east of Rifle on June 17 at 3:43 p.m. The dog was taken home and the owner, Jose R Antillon-Chavez, 26, of Albuquerque, N.M., was issued a summons.Harassment: Deputies responded to a disturbance in the Battlement Mesa area on June 18 at 4:46 p.m. After investigation, Mary Elizabeth Cunningham, 52, of Parachute, was arrested on suspicion of harassment.Theft: On June 19 at 5:11 p.m., deputies took a report of a theft incident outside Silt over the June 16-17 weekend. More than $3,000 of items were reported stolen from an agricultural area. The case is under investigation.Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a vehicle on County Road 233 outside Rifle for a motorist assist on June 19 at 5:12 p.m. The driver, Gilbert Rene Cuevas, Jr., 35, of Rifle, was found to have an arrest warrant out of Garfield County for failure to appear in court on a traffic infraction. He was arrested.Vandalism: On June 19 at 6:27 a.m., officers took a report of criminal trespass in the 2500 block of Meadow Circle. A vehicle's windows had been broken and items stolen. Theft: On June 19 at 6:47 a.m., police received a report of theft from a locked vehicle in the 900 block of West 24th Street.Theft: On June 19 at 7:37 a.m., police took a report that an unlocked vehicle in the 1700 block of Anvil View Avenue was entered and items stolen. Theft: Police responded to a report of shoplifting at City Market on June 19 at 10:01 a.m. Warren Allan Langstaff, 43, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of theft and later released.Theft: On June 19 at 10:08 a.m., police took a report of an unlocked vehicle that was entered and items were stolen. DUI: As Rifle officers approached a suspicious vehicle in the Remington Square parking lot on June 20 at 1:54 a.m., it backed up and almost struck an officer. The driver, Kyle Lowell Moon, 48, of Rifle, was arrested and taken to jail on suspicion of DUI. Raul Moreno Rodarte, 32, of Rifle, was issued a summons for having an open container of alcohol.Theft: On June 20 at 9:15 a.m., police took a report of a stolen camp trailer from the 3000 block of Coal Mine Avenue. Vandalism: Police were called to a trespass incident in the 1000 block of Airport Road on June 20 at 1:29 p.m. A woman was reportedly seen either entering or attempting to enter several vehicles in the parking lot. Vicky Johnson, 42, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of first degree criminal trespass and taken to jail.Restraining order violation: Police were called to help medical personnel in the 400 block of Railroad Avenue on June 20 at 1:53 p.m. Cecil E. Minkler III, 49, of Silt, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order by possessing and consuming an alcoholic beverage. Minkler was taken to jail. Attempted theft: On June 20 at 6:01 p.m., police took a report of an attempted fuel theft from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Howard Avenue.Warrant arrest: On June 20 at 7:23 p.m., Bryce Royal Patten, 46, of Rifle, was arrested on an outstanding Chaffee County warrant, was found to be in possession of marijuana and was cited. Warrant arrest: While investigating a separate matter in the 1000 block of East Avenue on June 21 at 3:23 a.m., Michael Ray Allen, 28, of Rifle, was contacted and found to have a warrant. He was arrested and taken to jail.Harassment: Police received a report of an assault on June 21 at 2:09 p.m. After investigation, Desirae Ann Stahl, 18, of Rifle, was issued a summons for harassment that occurred in the 2400 block of Meadow Circle.Vandalism: Police took a report of a broken vehicle window in the 1500 block of Railroad Avenue on June 21 at 9:33 p.m. It appears nothing was stolen from the vehicle. Assault: Police responded to a home in the 500 block of Ash Avenue on June 22 at 12:34 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. Jamie Matthew Babcock, 24, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing with a knife, third-degree assault, and two counts of violation of a protection order. Stolen vehicle: On June 22 at 7:50 a.m., police received a report that a vehicle was stolen from the 700 block of East Avenue. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were in it. Domestic violence: Officers responded to the 500 block of Railroad Avenue on June 22 at 11:56 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Dustin James Miller, 31, of Keithville, La., was arrested and taken to jail on suspicion of harassment, false imprisonment and domestic violence. Warrant arrest: Juan Manuel Marquez, 19, of Rifle, was arrested on an outstanding Garfield County warrant on June 22 at 10:52 p.m. Marquez was also allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was taken to jail.Traffic arrest: Police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of West 26th Street on June 23 at 12:01 a.m. The driver, Richard Owen Truitt, 33, of Rifle, was found to have a revoked Colorado drivers license.Warrant arrest: Police initiated a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Railroad Avenue on June 23 at 9:29 p.m. The driver, Randy Blaine Murray, 56, of Rifle, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody without incident. Theft: On June 24 at 9:38 p.m., officers received a report of theft from the 1300 block of Railroad Avenue. Suspects have been identified and charges are pending.Warrant arrest: Police received information that a man with an arrest warrant was at Walmart on June 25 at 10:19 a.m. Samuel Eric Smith, 33, of Rifle, was arrested for a warrant out of Garfield County. He posted bond and was released. Domestic violence: Officers responded to the 300 block of Park Avenue on June 25 at 1:44 a.m. for a restraining order violation. Officers later arrested Abigail Harriet Crawford, 21, of Rifle, on suspicion of a restraining order violation and domestic violence. Restraining order violation: Police responded to a report of an unconscious man in the grass near U.S. Highway 6 and White River Avenue on June 25 at 5:46 p.m. Officers found an intoxicated man and learned he had a protection order that prohibited him from possessing or consuming alcohol. Cecil Minkler III, 49, of Rifle, was arrested and taken to jail on suspicion of violation of a protection order and resisting arrest. Warrant arrest: Officers contacted Dennis James Cobb, 24, of Rifle, in the 200 block of East Third Street on June 25 at 7:05 p.m. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to jail.Trespass: Police were called to a trespass and disturbance in the 400 block of Railroad Avenue on June 25 at 7:12 p.m. James Joseph Duster, 35, of Fontana, Calif., was arrested and taken to jail.
