Theft: A deputy took a theft report outside of Rifle at 27653 U.S. Highway 6 on June 23 at 9:40 a.m. A man said some fishing equipment was stolen from his boat stored at a storage lot.Domestic violence: Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident on Bent Creek Circle in the Parachute area on June 23 at 11:15 p.m. Christopher David Page, 38, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence-related charges and taken to jail.Trespass: Deputies responded to a possible trespass on Silver Queen Circle in Battlement Mesa on June 24 at 12:23 p.m. Richard Frederick Wille, 64, was charged with suspected second degree trespass and allowing a dog to run at large.Domestic violence: Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident on Little Echo Drive in Battlement Mesa on June 24 at 3:40 p.m. Shawn Martin Angell, 47, was arrested and taken to jail.Traffic arrest: Deputies contacted a vehicle on Garfield County Road 319 outside Rifle for a moving violation on June 25 at 8:57 a.m. The driver, Jesus Gabriel Gomez, 32, of Delta, was arrested on suspicion of driving while his license was revoked as a habitual traffic offender and for an outstanding arrest warrant out of Rio Blanco County. He was taken to jail.Traffic arrest: Deputies contacted Michael Alexander Newton, 42, of Silt, on June 25 at 5:10 p.m. along Panoramic Drive in Silt Mesa, knowing his driver's license was revoked. Newton allegedly fled the scene but was arrested a short time later on suspicion of multiple misdemeanor violations, along with a felony for alleged possession of a weapon by a previous offender. Newton was taken to jail.Theft: On June 26 at 1:10 p.m., officers responded to a theft in the 1300 block of Railroad Avenue and issued a summons to Victoria Lou Ann Bumgarner, 53, of Rifle, for theft and released her from the scene. Domestic violence: Police responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of White River Avenue on June 26 at 4:11 p.m. and arrested John Arthur Owen III, 20, of Rifle, on suspicion of domestic violence and criminal mischief. He was taken to jail.Abandoned horse: On June 26 at 3:42 p.m., an animal control officer responded to a call about an abandoned horse in a horse trailer at mile marker 81 on I-70 in the Rulison area. The horse and trailer were taken to the local fair grounds by a brand inspector.Trespass: Deputies responded to and investigated a criminal trespass of a residence on County Road 250 in the Silt area on June 26 at 5:25 a.m. There are no suspects.Harassment: Deputies responded to a disturbance on County Road 214 outside Silt on June 26 at 6:12 p.m. Ronald Lynn Fazzi, 50, of Rifle, was issued a summons on suspicion of harassment and released.Warrant arrest: Deputies responded to a disturbance call on Logans Lane in the Parachute area on June 26 at 10:27 p.m. During the investigation deputies contacted Diane Denise Watson, 40, of Parachute, who they knew had a warrant. She was arrested and taken to jail.Burglary: Officers responded to a burglar alarm in the 2000 block of Railroad Avenue on June 27 at 1:31 a.m. and found the door to the business had been forced open and several items were missing. This case is under investigation. Vicious dog: An animal control deputy responded to a call about a dog chasing a bicyclist near Pioneer Way and West Second Street in the Rifle area on June 27 at 2:27 p.m. The dog was found and impounded at a local animal hospital. The dog's owner, Tawnia Loarraine Marney, 35, of Rifle, was issued a summons for vicious animal, dog at large and license required.Dog bite: Deputies responded to an animal complaint on Black Hawk Trail in Battlement Mesa on June 27 at 9:17 p.m. and learned a woman and her dog were bitten by another dog. The owner of the aggressive dog, Delbert John Velasquez Jr., 30, of Parachute, was issued a summons for dog at large and unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog.Domestic violence: Deputies responded to a possible harassment on County Road 306 outside De Beque on June 28 at 5:05 p.m. It was determined to be a domestic violence incident and Patrick Leo Rushing, 46, of De Beque, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and taken to jail.Drug arrest: A deputy contacted a vehicle on Ray Avenue outside Rifle for a traffic violation on June 30 at 3:07 a.m. The driver, Patricia Morgan Amonette, 30, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of drug- and traffic-related charges and taken to jail.
