As a Doctor of Oriental medicine and acupuncturist, Debra incorporates acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, tuina (Asian bodywork), sho ni shin, Acutonics, aromatherapy and qigong, as appropriate, into each patient's treatment plan. She has placed additional emphasis in her education and clinical practice on utilizing herbal medicine to enhance the benefits that her patients derive from acupuncture treatments. Chronic conditions are resolved more quickly and more thoroughly by doing so.

The office is well-stocked with a large array of quality herbal medicinals, manufactured under the most stringent standards in Taiwan. Custom formulations are made to suit an individual's needs.

As a supporter of integrative medical practices, Debra has co-consulted and co-treated with several Western medical practitioners including MDs, oncologists, surgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nutritionists. She feels this is an important aspect of providing the safest and most effective care to her patients.

Debra is in her fifth year of practice and "continues to be in awe of the power of this medicine."

I utilize herbal medicine yet have a very integrative approach, working with the patient's medical background and pharmaceuticals safely and confidently.

Pediatrics is an unusual specialty for an acupuncturist. There are many, many non-needle techniques that work very well for children.

I consider myself a guide, helping individuals who intend to take a more active role in positively altering their health, yet need some assistance to do so.

Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, MSOM; National Licensing with NCCAOM - Diplomate in Oriental Medicine; Doctor of Oriental Medicine - Licensing in New Mexico; Licensed Acupuncturist - concurrent licensing in Colorado; one-year study with Dr. Ping Chen, Yi Lin Medical Clinic

Debra also has four years of experience as an herbal consultant for Golden Flower Chinese Herbs.

Hundreds of hours of continuing education; CEUs on many topics such as treating infertility, pediatrics, PTSD, sports injuries, herbal and pharmaceutical prescription safety, facial rejuvenation, and much, much more.

The time I was treating a 4-year-old, but his baby sister was really sick and he asked me if I could treat her. She had been crying, fussy, not able to breathe easily enough to sleep. I did a 30-second treatment with the baby and went back to treating brother. A few minutes later he yells, "Wow, where can my mom get some of those." He had noticed that the baby was breathing easily and was sound asleep in her mother's arms.
