Recently, a friend shopped at City Market in Carbondale and learned they no longer offer plastic bags (to hold your groceries.)
What is in the lining of cereal, what are trash bags composed of? How are your newspapers delivered? What about milk and water containers? What material is used for wrapping socks and underwear packages? Does anyone not use plastic wrap for food items or freezer and storage bags?
The list goes on and on. We should kill another tree and use boxes to carry out our groceries, or legalize marijuana for hemp bags? How far can we keep going?
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama plan to sign a United Nations Small Arms Treaty on July 27. Supposedly, it has to do with international trade of small arms. Clearly a back door approach to regulating gun ownership in the U.S.
This comes as no surprise to those who have been watching Obama say one thing and do another. Observant citizens have known all along that Obama habitually speaks out of both sides of his mouth.
Very important: No treaty should be signed by our government without putting it to a vote of the people. A treaty is more binding on us than our constitution and cannot be revoked. We must have a say in what they are committing us to - or subjecting us to.
If you value the second amendment right to keep and bear arms, call your senators and representatives and voice your opinion. If you don't know who they are, shame on you. Google it, at least, put the information in a Word document and print it out. Keep it by your phone and start holding these people accountable.
