Randy and Jane Withee of Rifle would like to announce the marriage of their daughter, Jenna Leigh Withee, to Brandon Charles Lampe, the son of George and Rita Lampe of Salem, S.D. The couple was wed on May 19, 2012, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rifle with the Rev. Edward Schmidt officiating. A reception following the ceremony was held at Rivers Restaurant in Glenwood Springs.Maid of honor was Kristine Route, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Withee, sister-in-law of the bride, and Meredith Fischer, sister of the groom. Best man was Steven Hector, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Matthew Schulte, friend of the groom, and Jason Fischer, brother-in-law of the groom. Flower girls were Ella and Sophia Fischer, daughters of Jason and Meredith Fischer.Jenna is a currently completing a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Brandon is currently employed as a geomechanical engineer at PB Energy Storage Services Inc. in Houston. The couple plans to make their home in Rapid City, S.D., in the coming year.
Navy Petty Officer 1st Class David A. Klenda, a 1998 graduate of Rifle High School, who is assigned with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB-11), Det Musa Qal'ah, recently helped complete construction of a 3,100-square-foot medical facility at a combat outpost in the Musa Qal'ah region of southern Afghanistan.The medical facility, which houses a trauma ward, two operating rooms, a laboratory, and a post-anesthesia recovery room, will provide medical evacuation support and trauma care for operating forces at numerous outposts and forward operating bases in the Musa Qal'ah region.Homeported in Gulfport, Miss., NMCB-11 is deployed to Afghanistan to conduct general, mobility, survivability engineering operations, defensive operations, Afghan National Army partnering and detachment of units in combined/joint operations area Afghanistan in order to enable the neutralization of the insurgency and support improved governance and stability operations.Klenda joined the Navy in June 1998.
