Traffic offense: On Aug. 24 at 7:36 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle at 365 S. Seventh St. for a traffic violation and arrested the driver, Gerald Joe Martinez, 27, of Rifle, on suspicion of failure to use turn signals and for driving while his license was suspended.Traffic arrest: On Aug. 25 at 5:33 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop at 717 Taughenbaugh Blvd. and found the driver, Robert Stanley Choate, 41, of Rifle, had his license revoked for three alcohol-related convictions. He was arrested and taken to jail.Harassment: Police responded to a reported fight in the 700 block of Elder Court on Aug. 25 at 9:07 p.m. and issued a summons to Danielle Marie Sentryz, 41, of Rifle, for suspicion of Harassment. Another woman, Cherie Olson, was arrested on an unrelated warrant and was taken to jail. Criminal mischief: Following an altercation with neighbors, a nail was found in the victim's tire in the 1000 block of West 24th Street on Aug. 27 at 3:04 p.m.Harassment: Officers received a report of harassment in the 200 block of East Fifth Street on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. Adam Thomas Robertson, 23, of Rifle, was issued a summons for alleged harassment and released. Criminal mischief: Police took a report of criminal mischief in the 100 block of Daniel Avenue, in which a vehicle was vandalized on Aug. 28 at 5:15 a.m.Warrant arrest: Officers contacted Nicki Conan Borem, 27, of Rifle, on Aug. 28 at 12:39 a.m. in the 1500 block of Anvil View Avenue. She was arrested on a Pitkin County warrant and taken to jail.Dog attack: Officers took a report of a dog that allegedly attacked another dog in the area of Ninth Street and White River Avenue on Aug. 28 at 10:33 p.m. One dog sustained minor injuries. The owner of the dog that attacked, Jose DeJesus Gutierrez-Tovar, 28, of Rifle, was issued a summons for having a vicious animal and no certificate of vaccination. A quarantine agreement was also completed. Child abuse: Police took a complaint of child abuse in the 3000 block of Coal Mine Avenue on Aug. 29 at 2:18 p.m. Trespass arrest: Police arrested Jaime Alberto Cruz, 18, of Rifle, in the 1000 block of West Fifth Street on Aug. 30 at 2:50 a.m. on suspicion of criminal mischief and first degree criminal trespass, after they allegedly found Cruz searching through the interior of a vehicle. A wallet belonging to a victim was found close to where Cruz was taken into custody. He was taken to jail.Impersonations: Police contacted a disabled vehicle on the I-70 westbound on ramp on Aug. 30 at 1:31 p.m. Mari De Lorme, 36, of Golden, was arrested on suspicion of criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia and several outstanding warrants. Ildefonso Paz Castillo, 33, of Denver, was arrested on suspicion of criminal possession of a forged instrument. Burglary: On Aug. 30 at 10:56 p.m., police received a report that a door was damaged, a residence in the 300 block of West 25th Street had been entered and items were missing. Warrant arrest: An officer made a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Seventh Street on Aug. 31 at 10:14 a.m. and arrested Jonathan M. Brown, 40, of Rifle, on two outstanding warrants out of Rio Blanco County. He was taken to jail.Warrant arrest: Officers responded to the 500 block of West 24th Street on Aug. 31 at 2:55 p.m. and arrested Randa Martin, 24, of Rifle, on three warrants. Warrant arrest: On Aug. 31 at 3:45 p.m., in the 100 block of East Ninth Street, police arrested Robert Joseph Capps, 49, of Rifle, on an outstanding warrant.Restraining order violation: Police were on foot patrol in the downtown area on Aug. 31 at 10:52 p.m., when they contacted Shelly Marie Wechsler, 31, of Rifle. Wechsler appeared to be heavily intoxicated, and possessed a restraining order that prevented her from possessing or consuming alcohol. Wechsler was taken into custody. Police also allegedly found marijuana in her possession. Theft: On Aug. 31 at 11:14 p.m., police took a report of the theft of narcotics from the 200 block of Ute Avenue. Pot found: Officers responded to a report of trespass in the 600 block of McCarron Court on Sept. 1 at 9:08 p.m., contacted several people in an unoccupied residence and discovered a large marijuana plant. Charges are pending. DUI: Officers contacted a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the 800 block of Birch Avenue on Sept. 1 at 9:24 p.m. The driver, Pedro Sostenes-De La Cruz, 26, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving under revocation for an alcohol conviction, defective tail lamps and reflectors, having an open container of alcohol and not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to jail.Harassment: Police were advised of a disturbance in the 300 block of South Ninth Street on Sept. 1 at 10:41 p.m. Anthony Royal Green, 36, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of Harassment for allegedly assaulting another person. He was taken to jail.Theft: On Sept. 2 at 2:10 p.m., officers responded to City Market, 1320 Railroad Ave., for a report of two juvenile shoplifters. Two juvenile boys, both 15, were issued summons for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Harassment: Police responded to a disturbance at 200 W. 20th St. on Sept. 3 at 9:30 p.m. The case remains under investigation.DUI: Deputies conducted a traffic stop Stone Quarry Road and Tamarisk Trail in Battlement Mesa on Sept. 5 at 1:39 a.m. and arrested Jerred Sanchez, 21, of Parachute, on suspicion of DUI and other charges.
