He was taken to jail.Theft: On Sept. 2 at 2:10 p.m., officers responded to City Market, 1320 Railroad Ave., for a report of two juvenile shoplifters. Two juvenile boys, both 15, were issued summonses for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Harassment: Police responded to a disturbance at 200 W. 20th St. on Sept. 3 at 9:30 p.m. The case remains under investigation.Theft/forgery: Police are investigating a report on Sept. 4 at 1:20 p.m. of personal checks were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of West Fourth Street and cashed. Theft: On Sept. 4 at 3:16 p.m., officers received a report of a bicycle stolen from the 2000 block of Acacia Avenue. Theft: Officers received a report of shoplifting from City Market, 1320 Railroad Ave., on Sept. 4 at 4:48 p.m. Two juvenile males, ages 15 and 16, were issued summonses and released to their legal guardians. DUI: Deputies conducted a traffic stop Stone Quarry Road and Tamarisk Trail in Battlement Mesa on Sept. 5 at 1:39 a.m. and arrested Jerred Sanchez, 21, of Parachute, on suspicion of DUI and other charges.Revoked license: Officers contacted Bruce Irving Strand, 24, of Rifle, in the 200 block of West 20th Street for a traffic violation on Sept. 5 at 4:08 p.m. and arrested him on suspicion of driving with a revoked license for alcohol convictions. Strand was taken to jail.Harassment: Police responded to the Sports Corner Bar, 301 Railroad Ave., on Sept. 6 at 5:02 a.m. to take a harassment complaint. The case is under investigation. Warrant arrest: David Lee Johnson, 51, of Rifle, turned himself in for an outstanding warrant on Sept. 7 at 7:53 p.m.Minor in possession/warrant arrest: Police responded to an assault that allegedly took place in the intersection of West 24th Street and West Avenue on Sept. 8 at 12:44 a.m. The 15-year-old female victim was issued a summons for minor in possession of alcohol and was released to a guardian. Ruby Ann Castillo, 26, of Rifle, was arrested on two outstanding warrants during the assault investigation. Castillo was taken to jail, where she was held on bond.Harassment: Police were informed of a disturbance on a bus on I-70 on Sept. 8 at 5:22 p.m. Maxine Cheryl Riley, 60, of Arvada, was arrested on suspicion of harassment and taken to jail.Warrant arrest: William Daniel Suggs, 30, of Rifle, turned himself in on outstanding warrant on Sept. 8 at 7:09 p.m. Suggs posted bond and was released. Minors in possession: Police noticed two youths with open alcohol containers in the 1200 block of Access Road on Sept. 8 at 10:26 a.m. Julio Cesar Garcia-Vega, 23, of Glenwood Springs, and a 17-year-old Glenwood Springs youth were issued summonses for allegedly having open containers of alcohol and minor in possession of alcohol, respectively.Revoked license: Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Spencer and North Battlement Parkways in Battlement Mesa on Sept. 11 at 4:11 p.m. The driver, Michael Angel Calvillo, 19, of Parachute, was found to allegedly be driving while his license was revoked. He was arrested and taken to jail.Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a man in the 1100 block of Park Avenue in Rifle on Sept. 11 at 10:57 p.m. known to have several warrants for his arrest. Ruben Chavez III, 19, of Rifle, was taken into custody and taken to jail.Theft: On Sept. 11 at 8:11 a.m., police issued a summons to Amy Renee Peacock, 38, of Rifle, for alleged theft at Jon's Liquors, 401 W. 2nd St.Stolen items: On Sept. 11 at 8:20 a.m., police received a report of vehicles were broken into and items stolen in the 400 block of Elm Avenue.Harassment: On Sept. 11 at 1:16 p.m., police began investigating a series of harassments that have occurred for several months in the 200 block of East 18th Street.DUI: Officers contact Douglas Ward Taylor, 58, of Sheridan, Wyo., in the 200 block of Lions Park Circle for a traffic violation on Sept. 11 at 4:38 p.m. Taylor was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, having an open container of alcohol, and speeding.Warrant arrest: Police arrested Pedro Sostenes-Delacruz of Rifle on Sept. 11 at 4:40 p.m. for an outstanding warrant. He was taken to jail.Theft: A deputy responded to 228 Powerline Road outside Rifle on Sept. 12 at 6:39 a.m. to take a report of the theft of motor vehicle parts. This case is closed pending further leads.Drug paraphernalia: Police responded to the 700 block of Taughenbaugh Boulevard on Sept. 12 at 9:23 p.m. for a report of a drug violation. Officers recovered methamphetamine paraphernalia in a hotel room. The case is under investigation.Restraining order violation: Officers observed Carl T. Schroelucke, 53, of Rifle, consuming an alcoholic beverage on Sept. 13 at 12:44 a.m. in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue. He was known to be restrained from alcohol by a protection order. Schroelucke was arrested and taken to jail.Theft: On Sept. 13 at 10:21 p.m., officers took a report of items stolen out of a vehicle in the 700 block of Taughenbaugh Blvd. This case is under investigation. Assault: Police responded to the 500 block of Railroad Avenue on Sept. 15 at 3:29 a.m. to talk to an alleged assault victim. However, the alleged victim had left the scene. When contacted later, the victim refused to cooperate. The victim later called police, who met with the victim again, and again he refused to cooperate.
