Laugh it up Saturday in Grand Junction!

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Recognizing that we could all use a little laughter, the Moose Lodge is hosting a comedy show by a troupe out of Long Beach, Calif. The Comedy Machine, an ensemble of professional stand-ups, will perform a "Comedy Extravaganza" 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the lodge, located at 567 25 1/2 Road."We put on a clean, clever, hilarious PG-13 comedy show which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's very entertaining and inoffensive," said Steve Jameson, the troupe's spokesman.Saturday's show will be headlined by Andy Kern who has performed at clubs, colleges, military bases and casinos all over. He's been featured on VH-1 and Comedy Central. An aspiring pro football player, Kern chucked it all in favor of stand-up comedy. He must be funny, right?Kern will be joined by two fellow troupe members for the 90-minute show.Doors on Saturday open at 7 p.m. so folks can come early and grab a bite to eat or a drink at the bar. The event is open to the public.Advance tickets for $12 can be purchased at Rio Grande Credit Union, 760 Rood Ave., or at the Moose Lodge.
