CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Ninth, a nonprofit organization serving abused and neglected children in Garfield, Pitkin and Rio Blanco counties, has hired its first executive director, Sue Schnitzer Levin. Levin has extensive experience in nonprofit operations, law enforcement, running a small business and working with children.
CASA of the Ninth is a member of the National CASA Association and the Colorado CASA Association. CASA of the Ninth's purpose is to provide well-trained, court-appointed volunteer advocates to abused and neglected children in Colorado's Ninth Judicial District. The goal is a safe, permanent, nurturing home for every child served. CASA volunteers speak in court for abused and neglected children, ensuring that they find a safe, permanent home.
As a new nonprofit, the organization is currently seeking volunteers to serve as advocates, board members and in a variety of other roles.

Carbondale's Etcetera consultants, Classy Casuals, announce the upcoming trunk show of the Winter/Holiday 2012 collection. Etcetera is a division of Carlisle Etcetera, the world's largest women's fashion direct selling company. The New York based designer line of women's fashions was recently acquired by Tom James Co., the world's largest menswear direct selling company, and Royal Spirit, the company's largest manufacturer. This season's collection is the first showing since the acquisition.

Lindsey Lewis has joined Lewis Marketing and will work alongside Dylan Lewis, who opened Lewis Marketing in April 2011.
Lindsey was vice president of tourism marketing for the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association and worked for the chamber from 2007 through 2011. She most recently worked with Internet Honey on collecting and analyzing marketing data. She is a skilled video editor and has owned Lindsey Lewis Video Production since 2007.
Lindsey Lewis graduated cum laude from the University of Colorado at Denver with a B.A. in communication. After enrolling in audio/video production classes, she developed a passion for editing and completed internships with KDVR Fox31 News in Denver and Plum TV in Vail.
At the chamber, Lindsey was able to combine her hospitality background, strong organizational skills and creative abilities to successfully manage the destination marketing program for Glenwood Springs.
Lindsey has obtained a certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management and completed a comprehensive course of study at Institute for Organization Management, a professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to providing professional video production services, Lindsey will use her experience in capturing and utilizing marketing data, designing and delivering client e-mails, buying media, directing creative projects, and creating comprehensive reports for Lewis Marketing's clients.
