No hunting permit: Deputies responded to a report of a weapons violation on 500 West Battlement Parkway in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 14 at 8:17 a.m. Shawn Robert Lawhead, 31, of Parachute, was issued summonses for unlawful hunting without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
Criminal mischief: Deputies took a report of a broken window at the Garfield County Jail, 107 8th St. in Glenwood Springs, on Nov. 14 at 2:51 p.m. An inmate from Rifle, Jamie Matthew Babcock, 25, was issued a summons for criminal mischief.
Menacing: Deputies responded to a fight on Silver Queen Circle in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 16 at 12:36 p.m. Richard Frederick Wille, 63, of Parachute, was arrested on suspicion of menacing and issued a summons for disorderly conduct. James Daniel Mower, 47, of Parachute, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.
Warrant arrest: Deputies responded to community corrections on County Road 333 outside Rifle on Nov. 17 at 9:39 a.m. to attempt to locate a wanted person. The suspect, Levi Emmit Drussell, 24, of Rifle, was found, arrested on two active warrants and taken to jail.
Traffic arrest: Deputies made a traffic stop outside Rifle on Nov. 17 at 9:26 p.m. and recovered a small amount of suspected illegal drugs. James Walter Krogh, 49, of Grand Junction, was arrested and his vehicle impounded.
Revoked license: Deputies conducted a traffic stop on West 20th Street outside Rifle on Nov. 17 at 9:40 p.m. and found the driver, Michael Alexander Newton, 43, of Silt, to have a revoked driver's license for alcohol violations. He was arrested and taken to jail.
Child abuse: On Nov. 18 at 8:04 a.m., a deputy learned of a reported child abuse on 5033 County Road 335 near New Castle. After an investigation, Scott A. Markiecki, 41, of New Castle, was arrested on suspicion of child abuse and taken to jail.
DUI: Deputies responded to a disturbance on 514 County Road 225 outside Rifle on Nov. 18 at 10:17 p.m. After investigation, Alia Cassandra Lopas-West, 24, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of harassment, DUI, and child abuse.
Domestic violence: Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the Cottonwood Springs Mobile Home Park, 27653 U.S. Highway 6 east of Rifle, on Nov. 19 at 5:29 p.m. Three people suffered minor injuries and Richard James Medina, 42, was arrested on suspicion of menacing, false imprisonment, violation of a restraining order, resisting arrest, obstruction of phone services, domestic violence and third degree assault. He was taken to jail.
Dog at large: Deputies impounded a dog at large on Silver Queen Circle in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 19 at 8:16 a.m. The dog's owner, Richard Frederick Wille, 63, of Parachute, was issued a summons and the dog was taken to a local animal shelter.
