Winter arts classes for adventurous students in Grand Junction

The Art Center now has a full roster of Winter 2012 classes and workshops available online or at its front desk. The new educational programmer, Charles Wallis, has scheduled new adult classes and workshops in painting, glass, drawing and collage. There is an influx of new students and instructors throughout the building. The two-dimensional class offerings have spiked under the new leadership and all The Center's spaces are in use six days a week from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

The ceramics department is also offering a new class in throwing and surface design by Korean artist KyoungHwa Oh. Holiday Art Camp is now registering children for classes that vary from origami to sock puppets.

Classes and workshop schedules vary throughout the week to meet a wide range of individual schedules. For more information go the or stop by The Art Center during regular business hours on Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Art Center also has need-based scholarships available for both children and adults.
