Garfield County Sheriff's and Rifle Police Department's Cop Shop Report - Nov. 29, 2012

Animal neglect: Police responded to a report of animal neglect in the 1500 block of Arabian Avenue on Nov. 12 at 9:26 a.m. After investigation, Guillermo Machado Aguilar, no age given, of Rifle, was issued a summons for cruelty to animals and the animals were taken to the Rifle Animal Shelter.

Warrant arrest: Bryce Royal Patten, 46, of Rifle, was arrested for multiple warrants on Nov. 13 at 2:33 a.m. at 231 E. 21st St. and was taken to jail.

DUI: Officers saw a vehicle speeding in the 700 block of Railroad Avenue on Nov. 13 at 4:13 p.m. The driver, Trina M. Curtis, 32, of Parachute, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI Per Se, speeding and open container and the vehicle was impounded.

Theft: On Nov. 13 at 5:13 p.m., police received a report that items had been stolen from within a vehicle while it was parked in the 1500 block of Railroad Avenue. The case is under investigation.

Warrant arrest: Officers received information of the whereabouts of a man with a warrant on Nov. 13 at 7:49 p.m. When officers attempted to contact Trevor James Lenox, 28, of Lafayette La., he fled on foot. Officers gave chase and took Lenox into custody. He was taken to jail.

DUI: Police received a report of an accident in the 400 block of West 26th Street on Nov. 14 at 6:35 p.m. Following investigation, Mark Patrick Campbell, 53, of Littleton, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving, compulsory insurance, and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail.

DUI: Police stopped a vehicle for making an illegal left turn and driving without its headlights on in the 100 block of White River Avenue on Nov. 16 at 1:31 a.m. Ashley Maline Paulsen, 23, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving under restraint, obstructing a peace officer, false reporting to authorities, compulsory insurance, turned where prohibited across median, failed to display lamps when required, and no registration card in vehicle. Paulsen was held for bond at the Garfield County jail.

Warrant arrest: Officers arrested Timothy Guy Warn, 49, of Rifle, in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue on Nov. 16 at 7:31 p.m. for an active warrant. He posted bond and was released.

Warrant arrest: Osbaldo Ruiz, 18, of Parachute, was arrested for an outstanding Rifle Municipal warrant on Nov. 16 at 11:38 p.m. on Fairview Heights Court.

Assault: Police are investigating an assault that occurred in the 200 block of East 21st Street on Nov. 17 at 3:25 a.m.

Dog bite: Officers took a report of a dog bite in the 1500 block of Anvil View Avenue on Nov. 17 at 11:45 a.m. Laura E. Ferry, 35, of Rifle, was cited for failure to provide certificate of vaccination and rabies tags.

Warrant arrest: Officers made a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Second Street on Nov. 17 at 10:06 p.m. and arrested a passenger, Jonathan M. Brown, 40, of Rifle, on a warrant out of Garfield County. He was taken to jail.

Harassment: Officers responded to the 1100 block of Access Road for a disturbance on Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. Marissa Landrum, 19, of Pickens, Miss., and Rhonda Francies, 45, were both issued a summons and released.

Assault: Officers responded to La Quinta Inns, 600 Wapiti Court, on Nov. 19 at 11 p.m. for a report of a man causing a disturbance. Patrick Joseph Oday McCune, 32, of Rifle, was arrested and transported to jail on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer and second degree assault.

Traffic violations: Officers contacted a vehicle in the 100 block of West Centennial Parkway outside Rifle on Nov. 20 at 11:05 p.m. for an equipment violation. The driver, Michael A. Chapman, 28, of Parachute, was issued a summons for driving under restraint, compulsory insurance, failure to obtain valid registration within 90 days and possession of marijuana. The vehicle was impounded and Chapman was released from the scene.

Criminal mischief: Deputies took a criminal mischief report at 854 W. Battlement Parkway in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 21 at 8:33 a.m. A 13-year-old male juvenile was issued a summons for criminal mischief and released.

Restraining order violation: On Nov. 21 at 9:49 a.m., police received information that Richard Lee Amelung, 29, and Brian John Amelung , 27, both of Rifle, were at a residence in the 300 block of Clarkson Avenue, in violation of a restraining order. They were both arrested and taken to jail.

DUID: Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Seventh Street on Nov. 21 at 10:59 p.m. The driver, Anthony Michael Foster, 30, of Rifle, was arrested for suspicion of DUI, DUID, and child abuse, among other charges.

Warrant arrest: While investigating a separate matter on Nov. 21 at 9:42 p.m., officers contacted Monique L. Contreras, 31, of Rifle, who had an active warrant. She was arrested and taken to jail.

Harassment: Deputies were advised of a disturbance call on East Tamarack Circle in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 22 at 9:07 p.m. After investigation, Nettie Mae Fry, 27, of Parachute, was arrested on suspicion of harassment and resisting arrest and was taken to jail.

DUI: Officers made a traffic stop in the 600 block of Clarkson Avenue on Nov. 22 at 1:30 a.m. and arrested Jorge Alonzo-Gonzalez 29 Rifle on suspicion of DUI and traffic offenses. He was taken to jail.

Domestic disturbance: Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Elder Court on Nov. 22 at 7:16 p.m. Richard Owen Truitt, 33, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and third degree assault. Truitt was taken to jail.

Warrant arrest: Police contacted Cristian Antonio Ayala-Alfaro, 31, of Rifle, who was known to have a warrant, on Nov. 22 at 10:23 p.m. in the 1000 block of Airport Road. He was arrested and was additionally charged with resisting arrest. Ayala-Alfaro was taken to jail.

DUI: Dustin Wayne Kuberry, 33, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and speeding after a traffic stop at Smith Street and Airport Road on Nov. 22 at 11:25 p.m.

Lost firearm: A deputy took a report of a lost firearm on County Road 244 outside Rifle on Nov. 23 at 1:27 p.m.

Disorderly conduct: On Nov. 23 at 5:36 p.m., deputies took a report of an assault that occurred at 854 W. Battlement Parkway in Battlement Mesa. Jose Freddi Velasquez-Lovos, 38, of Parachute, and Deiby Emerson Gutierrez, 34, of Parachute, were both issued summons for disorderly conduct.

Domestic disturbance: Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 1501 Railroad Ave. on Nov. 23 at 9:28 a.m. The male suspect had left the scene, an arrest warrant was issued.

Warrant arrest: Officers arrested Kate Crosby Blakeway, 31, of Rifle, on an active warrant on Nov. 23 at 1:06 p.m. at 235 E 21st Street.

Restraining order violation: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of Elder Court on Nov. 23 at 1:27 p.m. Peter Borge Eriksen, 51, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of violation of protection order by consuming alcohol and contacting someone from whom he is restrained.

DUI: Police made a traffic stop near the intersection of East Seventh Street and Elder Court on Nov. 23 at 7:09 p.m. Billie Jo Ayala, 46, of Rifle, was taken into custody for DUI and other charges.

Domestic violence: Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of East Seventh Street on Nov. 23 at 10:12 p.m. Officers arrested Sarah Dianne Gutierrez, 29, of Odessa, Texas, on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal mischief, and harassment. She was taken to jail.

Burglary: Deputies took a report of a burglary to a residence outside Silt on Nov. 24 at 8:15 a.m. The case is under investigation.

Burglary: Deputies took a report of a burglary to a residence outside Rifle on Nov. 24 at 12:21 p.m. The case is under investigation.

Explosive device: Deputies responded to a report of a small explosive device on County Road 320 outside Rifle on Nov. 24 at 2:57 p.m. The Grand Junction Bomb Squad responded and neutralized the device.

Criminal mischief: Deputies took a report of spray painting at the Battlement Mesa Skate Park on Nov. 24 at 1:46 p.m. Corey Weedon, 20, of Parachute, was issued a summons for criminal mischief.

DUI: Shannon Anderson, 31, of Rifle, was contacted by Rifle Police for weaving on Nov. 24 at 2:17 a.m. in the 100 block of East 21st Street. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to jail.

Theft: On Nov. 24 at 10:25 p.m., officers took a report of a theft from the 800 block of South White River Avenue.

Shot bike: Deputies responded to a criminal mischief in the area of the JQS Trail and Hubbard Mesa outside Rifle on Nov. 25 at 5:02 p.m. and learned that a man who had been mountain biking and had left his bike. When he returned from his hike, the bike had been shot multiple times.

Reckless driving: Deputies learned of a disturbance and vehicle crash at a residence at 680 County Road 204 near the town of DeBeque on Nov. 25 at 11:13 a.m. An investigation found Derrick Drew Compton, 33, of DeBeque, allegedly rear ended a parked vehicle. He was issued a summons for reckless driving.

DUI: Police stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of East 26th Street on Nov. 25 at 1:42 a.m. The driver, Hugo Cesar Delgado-Montano, 19, of Carbondale, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and minor in possession of alcohol. Delgado-Montano was released with a summons.

DUI: Michael Dean Harper, 26, of Grand Junction, was contacted by Rifle Police on Nov. 25 at 10:53 p.m. in the 2700 block of Railroad Avenue for suspicion of reckless driving. He was arrested and transported to jail on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, reckless driving and compulsory insurance.

Burglary: On Nov. 26 at 11:25 a.m., a deputy learned of a burglary on County Road 320 outside Rifle. The case is closed pending further leads.

Fraud: Deputy learned of a fraud call on Hawthorne Way in the Battlement Mesa area on Nov. 26 at 3:14 p.m. The case is closed pending further leads.

Theft: Deputies took a report of a theft from a Nabors drilling rig at the West Parachute I-70 exit on Nov. 26 at 4:32 p.m.

Domestic violence: Deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence/harassment call on Grand Valley Way near Parachute on Nov. 26 at 3:33 p.m. After investigation, Kyson Alan Mock, 27, of Hudson, was on suspicion of harassment, domestic violence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
