Cheer squad wrap it up
Valley Dynamite All Star Cheer, a local youth nonprofit, is hosting its third annual gift-wrapping fundraiser. Miller Real Estate Investments has donated a space between Target and Pier One for the athletes to raise money for their upcoming trip to Nationals in Anaheim in April. Valley Dynamite is also partnering with Glenwood Springs High School Band to help them raise money for their upcoming college tour. Scouts collecting Toys for Tots
Cub Scout Pack 220 of Silt is helping Toys for Tots by collecting new toys for families in need in Garfield County. Donations of new, unwrapped toys from the community are sought through Monday, Dec. 10. Drop off locations are Clark's Market in Battlement Mesa, Wal-Mart and City Market in Rifle, Dollar General in Silt, and City Market in New Castle.
Scouts will be at the entrances to the Rifle Wal-Mart store again on Saturday, Dec. 8. The scouts plan to present the toys to Marine Corps members at the pack meeting on Dec. 13 at Cactus Valley Elementary School in Silt.
Christmas bazaar at Crystals
Crystals is hosting its annual Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. Saturday, Dec. 15 in the Rominger Room at Crystal Meadows Senior Housing, 1250 Hendrick Drive, Carbondale. The community is encouraged to stop by and enjoy the crafts.

Club Rotario Christmas tree lot
Roaring Fork Rotary Club/Club Rotario and Mr. Christmas are sponsoring a Christmas Tree lot in the Rite Aid Parking Lot (1412 Grand Ave., Glenwood Springs), through Dec. 24. It will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Locally hand-made wreaths and trees up to 13 feet tall are available.

Caroling Around the Block
