Editor's note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Marijuana: Officers were called to Yampah Mountain High School at 9:20 a.m. on Nov. 30 regarding a drug violation. The officers contacted two adults and two juveniles. They cited Ashley Catelin Smith, 18, for possession of marijuana, cited a juvenile girl for the same charge, and cited a juvenile boy for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
Criminal mischief: Officers investigated a report of criminal mischief at a business in the 700 block of Grand Avenue at 9:28 a.m. on Nov. 30. Matthew Tyler Gering, 23, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and lodged at the county jail.
Tampering: Officers were called to the 2700 block of Midland Avenue at 5:10 p.m. on Nov. 30. After an investigation, they cited Barney Forrest Oldfield, 60, of Glenwood Springs for criminal tampering.
Warrant arrest: Henry Yee Kunter, 36, of Glenwood Springs turned himself in to a local bail bondsman at 7:54 p.m. on Nov. 30. He was arrested on a $25,000 felony warrant from Pitkin County for a larceny charge, and was booked at the county jail.
Underage drinking: Police contacted a group of people at a bus stop in Glenwood Meadows at 2:40 a.m. on Dec. 1. The buses had stopped running and three people in the group asked the officer for a ride. Kimberly Zavala, 18, of Glenwood Springs, and two juveniles were cited for underage drinking and given a ride home.
