Tampering: Deputies responded to a criminal tampering call on County Road 307 in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 30 at 7:33 a.m.Criminal mischief: Deputies responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 100 block of Iron Wedge Circle in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 30 at 10:52 a.m. The case is closed pending further information.Theft: Deputies responded to a theft on Tamarisk Trail in Battlement Mesa on Nov. 30 at 4:17 p.m. A suspect, Bryce Charles McDaniel, 20, of Parachute, was identified and issued a summons for theft.Misfire: On Dec. 1 at 7:34 p.m., deputies investigated a firearm misfire that occurred outside Parachute. The case is open and under investigation.Theft: Deputies responded to a theft that occurred near Parachute on Dec. 2 at 1:57 p.m. Deputies recovered some of the stolen property. The case is currently under investigation.Drug paraphernalia: Deputies learned of a 16-year-old runaway juvenile out of the Parachute area on Dec. 2 at 9:14 p.m. The juvenile was found and released to their parent, and was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.Warrant arrest: Deputies responded to a civil matter in the 100 block of Bent Creek Circle near Parachute on Dec. 3 at 4:23 p.m. One of the subjects had an active warrant. Diane Denise Watson, 42, of Parachute, was arrested and taken to jail.Burglary: Officers are investigating a report of a burglary and assault in the 500 block of McCarron Court on Dec. 3 at 10:34 a.m.DUI: Police received a REDDI report and contacted the driver in the 300 block of East Avenue on Dec. 3 at 3:46 p.m. Alia Cassandra Lopas-West, 24, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and traffic violations and was taken to jail.Dog bite: Police took a report that a dog attempted to bite a juvenile in the 600 block of East Third Street on Dec. 3 at 4:56 p.m. Officers were unable to locate the dog. Dog bite: Police received a report of a dog bite that occurred in the 1000 block of West Fifth Street on Dec. 3 at 5:59 p.m. After investigation, Charles Peter Weber, 55, of Rifle, was issued a summons for failure to obtain a city license and vaccinations for dogs. Obstructing: Police responded to the 200 block of South Ninth Street on Dec. 4 at 2:20 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. Matthew James Klingler, 26, of Rifle, was arrested for obstructing a police officer.Domestic violence: Police learned of a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of Howard Avenue on Dec. 4 at 5:37 p.m. During the investigation, Joe E. Archuleta, 37, of Rifle, allegedly became uncooperative and was arrested on suspicion of harassment, obstructing a peace officer, trespassing and domestic violence. Harassment: Officers were called to a family disturbance in the 3100 block of West 31st Court on Dec. 5 at 6:24 p.m. A 17-year-old girl was arrested and issued a summons for harassment, possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was released.Sexual assault: On Dec. 6 at 8:54 p.m., deputies responded to a possible sexual assault in the Battlement Mesa area. The case was turned over to the Garfield County Department of Human Services.Injured dog: An animal control deputy responded to a dog in custody on Tamarisk Court in Battlement Mesa on Dec. 7 at 3:03 p.m. The dog was taken to a kennel and for a medical evaluation of bleeding in the area of the hips.Dog bite: An animal control deputy responded to a dog bite incident in Rifle Village South on Dec. 9 at 1:26 p.m. The dog owner, Kelsey Brooke Davis, 25, of Rifle, was issued a summons for allowing to dog to run at large, without a license and having a vicious animal. The victim was treated by a grandparent.Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a 17-year-old boy from Glenwood Springs on foot outside Parachute on Dec. 9 at 8:53 p.m. and found he had two warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center.Warrant arrest: Deputies learned a 15-year-old boy from Silt had an active warrant from New Castle for theft. Deputies contacted and arrested him on Dec. 10 at 8:25 a.m. He was later screened by YouthZone and released to a guardian.
