My name is Elmer Bonilla, a Scout member for Troop 242 of Basalt. I have just finished my Eagle Scout project, and I would like to thank Valley Lumber and Lowe's for the time that they spent with me and for all the supplies and donations that I received from them.

I would also like to thank my mentor, Jon Kurz. He mentored me throughout my entire project. Without him, I would not have been able to move forward.

Also, I would like to thank the scouts who helped me in one way or another during this important process in my life, including: Ladibel Bonilla, Gabriel Bonilla, Omar Merlos, Thomas Worth and Gordon Murphy. And most of all, thanks to my parents, Jerry Evert and Ligia Bonilla, because without them I would not have been able to do this project.

I am a single mother of four children. At Christmas time, I am reminded of how little I can do for gifts with so many children. My budget is very little.

This year, one of my children, Sophia, age 4, wanted to meet Santa as her gift. I could not afford the pictures anywhere, and she really wanted one.

I do most of my Christmas and birthday shopping at thrift stores and was so happy when I saw that Once Upon a Child had free pictures with Santa. Not only did Sophia get her wish, but our whole family had pictures taken for free.

That was my Christmas wish, to have a family picture taken.

Thank you to Once Upon a Child for helping me and other families this year be able to add this to our Christmas tradition.
