The Mount Sopris and South Side Conservation Districts will kick off their 60th year anniversary at Ag Day at the New Castle Community Center on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. with a drawing for a free day rental of the no-till drill.
A few of the topics scheduled to be discussed are Reed grass, a new noxious weed, agritourism, hydro and solar power and snow survey technology.

LAKEWOOD - Colorado growers can market their products to consumers through the 29th annual Colorado Farm Fresh directory. Listings are being accepted for the 2013 edition.
Published by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Farm Fresh promotes Colorado farmers markets, roadside stands, u-picks, Community Supported Agriculture producers, agritourism activities and farms and ranches that sell directly to the public.
More than 100,000 copies of the publication will be distributed in June through libraries, extension offices, bookstores, farmers markets, welcome centers, chambers of commerce and other businesses. Along with the printed directory, the directory will also be available on the Colorado Department of Agriculture's website, www.coloradoagriculture.com.
