Catch 'Coppelia' ballet this weekend in Grand Junction

"Coppelia" is a comedic romantic ballet that tells the story of a doll that comes to life ... or does she? Dancing the lead roles of Franz and Swanhilde are AJ Labrum and Sofia Robinson. Labrum is a senior at Colorado Mesa University, and most recently performed the part of the Mouse King in the local production of the "Nutcracker." He is also on the teaching staff at Dance Works. Robinson is a senior at Grand Junction High School and has been dancing at Dance Works since 2007. This production of "Coppelia" features another 110 ballet students, ranging in age from 3 to adult. It is a delightful ballet that the entire family will enjoy!Tickets may be purchased in advance (receive a $3 per ticket discount) at the Dance Works studio, 2893 North Ave., or by calling the Dance Works office at 970-243-5954.
