Garfield County Sheriff's Report

Editor's note: The Garfield County Sheriff's Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Assault: At 9:26 p.m. on Jan. 9, deputies were called to a disturbance on Carson Circle near Parachute. Jamie Lynn Beattie Rials, 27, was arrested and booked on charges of trespassing, third degree assault and domestic violence.

Check fraud: At 1:17 p.m. on Jan. 11, deputies were dispatched to a report of fraud in Battlement Mesa. Lea Marie Trickel, 23, of Parachute was arrested on suspicion of of forgery, criminal mischief, theft and resisting arrest.

Disturbance: At 1:50 a.m. on Jan. 12, deputies responded to a disturbance call at the Loyal Bros. Lounge, 813 Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs. David Daniel Curiel, 25, of Glenwood Springs was issued a summons into court on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Drunk driving: At 2:27 a.m. on Jan. 12, deputies stopped a vehicle for weaving on County Road 100 (Catherine Store Road) outside Carbondale. Tyler M. Hartman, 28, Carbondale, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, having an open container in his vehicle, and weaving, and booked at the Garfield County Jail.

Identity theft: At 8:26 a.m. on Jan. 12, deputies were notified of a possible case of identity theft originating in the Parachute area. The case is under investigation.

Fire assist: At 8:40 p.m. on Jan. 12, deputies assisted Colorado River Fire Rescue with a fire on County Road 314 (Alkalai Creek Road) near New Castle.

Driving while ability impaired: At 2:03 a.m. on Jan. 13, deputies stopped a vehicle for weaving on Grand Avenue in Glenwood Springs. Eloy R. Loya-Holguin, 40, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested and jailed on charges of speeding, driving while his license was under restraint, and driving while ability impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Burglary assist: At 4:58 a.m. on Jan. 13, deputies were called to assist the Parachute Police Department with a reported burglary. No further information was reported by the Garfield County Sheriff's Department.
