Jessica Christine Ridgeway

Our precious child Jessica was laid to rest on Jan. 23, 2013.

Jessica was a bright, beautiful and caring 10-year-old. She liked to entertain with singing, dancing and jokes. Her goal was to be a cheerleader, and she was the most enthusiastic fan at her cousin's softball games. She enjoyed school, liked to read, and received an award for her art last spring. She also enjoyed visiting her Great Aunt and Great Uncle in Glenwood Springs and swimming in the Hot Springs Pool. Jessica loved animals, and made a video of herself with her Aunt's dog Bristle. She gave her family much joy and will always be with us in our hearts.

Jessica is survived by her parents, Sarah Ridgeway and Jeremiah Bryant, as well as three great-grandmothers, two grandmothers, two grandfathers, three half-sisters in Missouri, and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Colorado, Missouri and Iowa.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home and Colorado Crematory. An obituary is also posted on www.malesichandshirey.com and will be open until Jan. 23, 2014 for condolence messages. Funeral services are private for the family.

Donations may be made to the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Foundation to give other little girls opportunities in dance and cheerleading, at the Broomfield Community Foundation, 26 Garden Center, Suite 4D, Broomfield, Colo., 80020, www.broomfieldfoundation.org in Jessica's name, or to the City of Westminster for the Jessica Ridgeway Memorial Park, at City of Westminster Parks and Recreation, 4800 W. 92nd Avenue, Westminster, Colo. 80031 (303) 658-2400.
