Go fishing with the Lions

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Collbran Lions Club is hosting an ice-fishing benefit tournament in partnership with Vega State Park Saturday, Feb. 2. The event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.

Participants may check in at 7 a.m. Saturday at the park's entrance. Cost is $50 to enter, and the tourney is limited to 200 anglers. An additional fee to enter the park will apply if you don't have a Colorado State Parks Pass.

The adult division boasts three cash prizes. The first-place prize will range from $400-750, depending on the number of entrants. A youth division, limited to 50 entrants, will award prizes to the top five competitors in both the 11-17 and 10-and-under age divisions. No entry fee for the youth.
