Marcus Antonio Arroyo, 20, of Rifle, was taken into custody and was taken to jail.Theft: On Jan. 3 at 10:05 a.m., police received a report that a purse was stolen from an office in the 100 block of West 14th Street. No suspects at this time. Criminal mischief : Police responded to the 800 block of West 24th Street on Jan. 3 at 6:26 p.m. for a report of criminal mischief in which a residential window was broken in an unoccupied unit. Warrant arrest: David Carrillo, 20, of Rifle, turned himself in at the Rifle Police Department on Jan. 3 at 9:02 p.m. for an active warrant. He posted bond and was released.Underage possession: Officers responded to the 1700 block of Howard Avenue on Jan. 4 at 12:53 a.m. for a report of a man knocking on doors. Officers arrived and attempted to speak with the man, but he ran. Brady Alan Jeffryes, 19, of Rifle, was caught, arrested and later released with a summons for minor in possession of alcohol and obstructing an officer. Probation violation: Police responded to a possible domestic disturbance in the 3000 block of Coal Mine Avenue on Jan. 4 at 12:18 p.m. The disturbance was found to be a civil matter and no crimes had been committed. However, a woman, Jodie Lorraine Hackett, 47, of Rifle, was found to be in violation of probation. An arrest warrant was issued. Warrant arrest: Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 300 block of East Second Street on Jan. 5 at 12:50 a.m. The disturbance was unfounded, but a 13-year-old Rifle boy was found to have a warrant. He was arrested and later released on bond. Theft: On Jan. 5 at 1:47 p.m., officers took a report of a burglary in the 800 block of Taughenbaugh Boulevard in which electronics were stolen from a residence. The case is under investigation. Warrant arrest: While investigating a separate matter in the 800 block of Taughenbaugh Boulevard on Jan. 5 at 2:41 p.m., officers contacted Dawnyel Rae Algien, 24, of Rifle, who was found to have an outstanding warrant and was taken to jail.Child abuse: Officers responded to the 300 block of East Fourth Street in reference to a child abuse complaint on Jan. 6 at 11:22 a.m. and found three very young children home alone. During investigation, an adult, Julia D. Gembola, 24, of Rifle, arrived. She was issued a summons for child abuse. Witness intimidation: Officers responded to the 2800 block of Rail Avenue regarding a witness intimidation report on Jan. 6 at 12:11 a.m. Police were told a woman had allegedly harassed and threatened a witness to a crime. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Dawnyel Rae Algien, 24, of Rifle. Theft: On Jan. 7 at 2:20 p.m., officers took a report of stolen snow sleds and tubes from the 2300 block of Airport Road. This case is under investigation. Warrant arrest: On Jan. 7 at 4:07 p.m., police arrested Jodie Lorraine Hackett, 47, of Rifle, on an outstanding warrant in the 3000 block of Coal Mine Avenue. During the arrest, Hackett was found to be in violation of probation and also allegedly assaulted the officer. Hackett was held on the warrant and on suspicion of revocation of probation and obstructing a peace officer. Theft report: On Jan. 8 at 12:46 a.m., police learned of a possible burglary in the 800 block of West 24th Street. Witnesses were unwilling to cooperate, and at this time it appears this is a civil matter. Harassment: Police responded to the 700 block of Elder Court on Jan. 8 at 4:22 p.m. for a report of a family disturbance. This case is under investigation. Warrant arrest: Police learned of the whereabouts of a person with a warrant on Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. Skyler Lynn Peter, 25, of Rifle, was later arrested and taken to jail.Theft: Officers responded to the 3000 block of Coal Mine Avenue on Jan. 9 at 3:13 p.m. on a report of a stolen license plate. Theft: Officers received a report of a shoplifter at the Family Dollar store, 1733 Railroad Ave., on Jan. 9 at 3:39 p.m. Officers contacted Kimberly Ann Cusick, 33, of Rifle, and issued her a summons for theft. She was released at the scene.Theft: On Jan. 9 at 5:22 p.m. police investigated a burglary of an unoccupied residence in the 2500 block of Meadow Circle.Soliciting: Following investigation of a report of inappropriate sexual contact in the 1500 block of Railroad Avenue on Jan. 10 at 4:29 p.m., Rogelio Lazcano Garcia, 53, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of soliciting for prostitution, unlawful sexual contact and sexual assault. He was taken to jail.Business damage: Officers took a report of shots fired into a business in the 1800 block of Enterprise Court on Jan. 11 at 12:02 a.m. The business was closed at the time of the damage. The case is under investigation. Warrant arrest: Officers contacted Joshua Nickless Shroyer, 31, of Rifle, in the 1700 block of Railroad Avenue, after a report of a suspicious person on Jan. 12 at 2:33 p.m. Shroyer was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to jail.Theft: Police took a report of a stolen wallet from City Market, 1320 Railroad Ave., on Jan. 12 at 5:18 p.m. The case is under investigation.Warrant arrest: Heidi Jeannae Schaefer, 42, of Rifle, was contacted by police in the 100 block of West Second Street on Jan. 12 at 6:51 p.m. for a traffic violation. She was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Noise: Police responded to a noise complaint in the 800 block of South White River Avenue on Jan. 12 at 9:15 p.m. and issued a summons to Gerald Martinez.Criminal mischief: Police responded to the 2100 block of White River Avenue on Jan. 13 at 11:10 a.m. for a report of damaged property. A glass door had been broken at the business, as well as an interior glass door. It appears nothing within the building was damaged or missing.Theft: Police responded to the 3000 block of Airport Road on Jan. 14 at 4:07 p.m. for a report of theft. The business victim reported that someone entered the premises and stole items attached to a trailer. The case is under investigation. Pot report: Police were contacted about a possible drug violation in the 100 block of East 26th Street on Jan. 15 at 11:37 a.m. The case is under investigation. Theft: On Jan. 15 at 3:34 p.m., officers received a report of check fraud from a business in the 100 block of East Third Street by a known suspect. The case is under investigation.
