As a part of its community mission, the Children's Rocky Mountain School, a 501(c)3 early childhood education center in Carbondale, and the Family Visitor Programs are teaming up again to embark on the second annual pajama and book drive for local children and their parents in need.

The Great Pajama Drive was created to foster the love of bedtime reading for underprivileged children of the Roaring Fork Valley. The school will be accepting donations of new pajamas (newborn, child and adult sizes) until Feb. 8. For every pair of pajamas donated, Family Visitor Programs will supply a matching book. The goal is to collect enough pajamas to donate to 300 local families, delivered by Valentine's Day.

Organizers are asking for community support by donating new pajamas (newborn to adult sizes) at a drop-off location: Growing Years, Alpine Bank (Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs); Blue Lake Preschool, Basalt Library (Basalt); Children's Rocky Mountain School, Gordon Cooper Library (Carbondale); Children's Mini College, Glenwood Springs Library, Family Visitor Programs and Early Childhood Network (Glenwood Springs).
