NEW CASTLE - New Castle Family Fitness is proud to introduce its annual "Greatest Loser" fitness challenge.
The competition features evenly matched teams of various abilities, shapes and sizes from around the community.
The contestants meet for challenging team workouts with NCFF trainers Nate Rand and Lexie Galvin three days a week for eight weeks. They also have to complete assigned workouts on their own for the remainder of the week.
Paula Black, NCFF trainer and nutritional counselor, is administering nutritional accountability for the program. The program is instructed by professionals, so it's challenging, effective and most of all, safe.

"It's amazing how fast the body responds to exercise. The contestants are getting results already," said Lexie Galvin, "The Galvinators" team captain.
"We focus on teaching proper technique and proven training methods," said Nate Rand, team captain for "The Rand-Sackers."
"Misinformation from fad workouts and diets seems to create a lot of confusion for real-world consumers as to how to go about getting fit," Rand added.
"We're not about making good TV, we're about showing average people how they can improve their lives through exercise and nutrition," said Steve Wells, NCFF training manager. "Frankly, I'm embarrassed by the trainers' behavior on the TV shows, because if one of my trainers treated a client that way, they would be let go. There's a difference between motivation and humiliation."
