GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - In only its second month, the Fruita Fourth Friday Art Walk is already bigger and better. Art, music, fashion photography, a poetry slam, and even beer tours at Suds Brothers - it's all on the agenda for downtown Fruita tonight, Feb. 22, from 5-9 p.m."Four more businesses have decided to participate," event organizer and Rye Gallery Owner Kyle Harvey said. "There's more going on."According to Harvey, last month's inaugural event turned out "really great," with a "fantastic" showing."It was beneficial to everybody," he added. "I talked to other (participating) business owners, and it was busier that would be normally."So, what's going on at this month's art walk? Harvey said Rye will feature a new exhibit by three local artists, and the Cavalcade will host live music by Miss Emily and Project Groove.Plus, Fruita's newest tasting room, Copper Club Brewing Company, has already created more room for customers to sit and stretch. New tables were recently put out for additional seating."It's pretty happening," Harvey said. "I hope that every month more and more businesses decide to participate. When it gets warmer, I'd like to see live music outside to make it a fun event for everyone."For more information about participating in future Fruita Fourth Friday events, email Harvey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
