The Advocate Safehouse Project hosted the 2013 LUNAFEST on Feb. 9 at the Hotel Colorado. LUNAFEST is a short-film fest focusing on women. The films are literally from all over the world and are distributed by Luna Bars. Each year Luna Bars chooses new films that are always varied and thought provoking.
This year's LUNAFEST had better attendance than previous years. We would like to thank our community for showing up to support women, Advocate Safehouse Project, and the Breast Cancer Fund. We have read your reviews and have taken your comments under careful consideration so that we can provide an even more appealing experience for LUNAFEST attendees next year.
I would like to thank our local sponsors for the 2013 LUNAFEST: Alpine Bank, KMTS Radio, Glenwood Insurance Agency, Post Independent, Aspen Times, Citizen Telegram, KDNK and Hotel Colorado.
I would also like to thank The Blend in Carbondale, Treadz in Glenwood Springs, and Midland Art Co. in Rifle for selling our LUNAFEST presale tickets.
A special thanks to Jacky Gaddis and the Glenwood High School Girls Basketball Team. Thank you to Miranda and Ashley of Coal Ridge High School.
It would also not have been possible without the people attending the 2013 LUNAFEST. Thank you. Your attendance not only supported the Advocate Safehouse Project, but also the Breast Cancer Fund.
