Glenwood Springs Police Report

Editor's note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Domestic violence: At 1:45 a.m. on Jan. 27, police were advised of a physical altercation between a man and a woman in the 800 block of Blake Avenue. After investigation, Amanda Dawn Honeycutt, 30, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested for harassment/domestic violence and lodged in the Garfield County Jail without incident.

Driving under the influence: At 8:52 p.m. on Jan. 27, police contacted the driver of a vehicle because of a traffic violation at Ninth Street and Bennett Avenue. The driver, Brenda Elanie Draper, 56, of Glenwood Springs, showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was issued summonses for displaying expired license plates and suspicion of driving under the influence (alcohol) and was released to a sober party.

Violation of a restraining order: At 11:14 p.m. on Jan. 27, police responded to a suspicious person call at a retirement center in the 600 block of 21st Street. Police contacted an intoxicated man outside of the retirement center. Raymond Arnold Bedwell, Jr., 49, of Glenwood Springs, for the violation of a protection order forbidding him to drink alcohol and lodged him at the county jail.

Driving under the influence: At 1:45 a.m. on Feb. 2, police cited Rico Rodriguez Haywood, 36, of Glenwood Springs, with suspicion of driving under the influence, driving without headlights and weaving in the 100 block of Sixth Street.

Driving under the influence: At 2:14 a.m. on Feb. 2, police stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 800 block of Grand Avenue. The driver, Juan Mendoza-Arevalos, 33, of Gypsum, showed signs of intoxication and was issued summonses for charges of speeding and suspicion of DUI.

Trespass: At 7:06 a.m. on Feb. 2, police took a report of a suspicious incident from Colorado State Patrol in the 2900 block of S. Glen Avenue. After investigation, James S. Klein, 34, of Carbondale, was arrested and lodged in Garfield County Jail for trespassing.

Careless driving, disorderly conduct: At 9 p.m. on Feb. 2, police cited Laura Armendariz-Anchondo, 24, of Glenwood Springs, for careless driving and driving with a child who wasn't in a proper restraint system in the 3000 block of Blake Avenue. Mayra Alejandra Corral-Loya, 23, of Glenwood Springs was also cited for disorderly conduct.

Driving under the influence: At 2:20 a.m. on Feb. 3, police cited Jason Paul Hughes, 37, of Glenwood Springs, with failure to use a turn signal and suspicion of driving under the influence at S. Grand Avenue and 27th Street.

Criminal tampering: At 11:26 a.m. on Feb. 3, police were advised of a man trespassing on community center property. Police contacted the reporting party and she advised them that the suspicious man had been previously warned not to trespass on the property. Police arrested James Patrick Clancy, 44, of Glenwood Springs, and charged him with trespass and criminal tampering and lodged him at the county jail.

Obstruction, trespass: At 7:40 p.m. on Feb. 3, a person entered a restaurant in the 1800 block of Grand Avenue, was intoxicated and was asked to leave. The suspect allegedly tried to strike the manager. Namthip Luthens, 39, of Carbondale, was uncooperative and obstructed police and was arrested a lodged at the county jail on trespass and obstructing police charges.

Trespass: At 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 5, police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 2100 block of Grand Avenue. The subject was swearing at the business owner after being asked to leave. Douglas Louis Molinari, 46, of New Castle, was issued a summons for trespass. Molinari was intoxicated and told not to ride his bike. His bike was taken for safekeeping after he told the officer he would ride it.

Bar fight: At 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 6, police responded to a report of a of fight at a bar in the 700 block of Grand Avenue. Justin Adam Fullerton, 29, of Glenwood Springs, allegedly punched the victim in the face and was issued a summons for assault.

Harassment, violation of a restraining order: At 3:57 p.m. on Feb. 6, police responded to a business in the 2800 block of S. Glen Avenue for a report of harassment. After receiving statements from a female victim, police contacted Edgar Francisco Perea-Ortega, 26, of Glenwood Springs, placed him under arrest and lodged him at the Garfield County Jail for a violation of a restraining order (domestic violence) and 2 counts of harassment (domestic violence).

Driving under the influence: At 8:25 p.m. on Feb. 6, police contacted a vehicle with no headlights on in the 100 block of Seventh Street. Police detected signs of intoxication from the driver. After investigation, Leland Vogt, Jr., 49, of Denver, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and lodged at the county jail.

Driving under the influence: At 11:25 p.m. on Feb. 6, police contacted a suspicious vehicle parked just off the road in the 100 block of Mel Ray Road. After investigation, police issued a summons to Philip Allen Plantz, 33, of Glenwood Springs, for suspicion of DUI.

Driving under the influence, speeding: At 12:20 a.m. on Feb. 7, police stopped a vehicle on Highway 6 at Linden Street for speeding 25-39 MPH over the limit. Officers detected signs of impairment on the driver and arrested him for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Greg Kyle Mayfield, 21, of Hotchkiss, was lodged at the county jail for speeding and suspicion of DUI.

Driving under the influence, weaving: At 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 7, police contacted a vehicle for weaving on Highway 6 at Traver Trail. Upon contact, Police detected signs of intoxication and arrested Xavier Jerry Rodriguez, 25, of Glenwood Springs, for suspicion of DUI and lodged him in the county jail.

Warrant arrest: At 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, police arrested Isamar Carina Campos, 22, of Glenwood Springs, in the 2200 block of Sunset Ridge Court for an active arrest warrant.

Drugs: At 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, police arrested Creighton Allen Haddon, 58, of Glenwood Springs for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of control substance - dangerous drug, in the 100 block of W. Sixth Street; Ryan Dale Wagster, 37, of Glenwood Springs was also cited for a violation of a restraining order.

Warrant arrest: At 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 8, police were notified of a man who had an active warrant for his arrest out of San Bernardino, California for false imprisonment and child cruelty, with a bond of $200,000, in the 2200 block of Sunset Ridge Court. Jose Romero III, 30, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested and lodged in the county jail on the warrant.

Driving under the influence: At 1:42 a.m. on Feb. 9, police contacted a vehicle at the Roaring Fork Marketplace for careless driving. The driver showed signs of intoxication. Jessica Cameron Ehrlich, 25, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested for careless driving and suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and was lodged at the Garfield County Jail.
