GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - In an increased push for craft beer education and enjoyment, Kannah Creek Brewing Company in Grand Junction will be hosting its first-ever beer pairing dinner. Set for this Sunday, March 3, the extravaganza of tastiness is open to 30 people; the cost is $40 a head. Registration is required, and participants are asked to be at the Seventh Street restaurant by 5 p.m.
"Everything included in the dinner is not on the regular menu," Kannah Creek Marketing Coordinator Katlin Lubeley said.
Rather, the four-course meal has been crafted by brewer Matt Simpson and Chef Jeremy Alderman specifically to complement food with Kannah Creek brews.
The history and process of the beer served will also be included in the dinner, Lubeley added, and the brewer will be on hand to talk about the complimentary flavors.
"Wonderful beers pair with food just as well as wine," Simpson said, "and it's not something we do every day."
