ADVENTURE: What's on your bucket list?

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - What do you want to do before you die? This may seem like a loaded question. It can be anything, right? For some Grand Valley residents, answers were as simple and heartfelt as seeing their children to grow into happy, healthy, successful adults. The ability to travel, be creative and try new things were also at the top of many folks' bucket lists. When our ever-vocal Free Press Facebook friends were asked to share personal wish lists, we got a variety of poignant, adventurous and just plain fun responses. Here are our favorites:• "I want to learn how to Rally Race. Dirt, Subarus, drifting, the whole nine yards!" - Maggie Moorland, 36, is a Grand Junction resident who works for Partners, a local nonprofit.• "Visit Puka Puka, search for the Loch Ness monster in Scotland, operate a backhoe and write a novel. Just for starters."- Robbie Urquhart, 61, is a Fruita resident employed at the Fruita Chamber of Commerce.• "Backpack/canoe trip through Gates of the Arctic or Denali."- Joe Sheader, 52, is a Grand Junction resident who works as a coach at Central High School. He also manages his own personal fitness business, High Mesa Fitness.• "I want to go see a Broadway show more than anything in the world. I've never really been out of GJ because I had my kids young. I think it would be magic!!"- Marilee Glencoe, 28, is a Grand Junction resident and stay-at-home mom of two.• "I would like to go on a hot-air balloon ride."- Sonia Boldra, 49, is a Glade Park resident and is self-employed.• "See Egypt."- Galina Warren, 30, is a Grand Junction resident.• "To get my Master's degree in Bilingual Speech Therapy. Baby steps are getting me to that point, but it is taking so long."- Esmeralda Martinez, 32, is a Grand Junction resident and a full-time student at Colorado Mesa University.• "Make sure my children graduate college and support themselves so I don't die worrying about leaving them behind unprepared for life's challenges."- Dana Dunham, 24, is a Grand Junction resident and stay-at-home mom of four.Want to share your bucket list for future Adventure pages?
