The Art Center has a full lineup of day camps for young artists who want to work in drawing, mixed media, bookmaking, sculpture and painting. These classes are taught by veteran artists who have taught in schools and camps for many years. Children and teen not only learn from an instructor but learn just by working with peers to generate new ideas.
Art has that benefit of play and problem-solving that is not inherent in many other learning situations. Art-making works both the left and right brain of the developing mind. Spring Break Art Camp starts on March 25 and runs through March 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fees start as low as $18 a day for members and $23 a day for nonmembers. All materials are provided at no cost to the students.
