Garfield County Sheriff's Office Cop Shop Report - March 21, 2013

Assault: Deputies responded to a fight on County Road 335 outside New Castle on March 11 at 9:41 p.m. After investigation, David Adolphson, 54, of New Castle, was arrested on suspicion of third degree assault and was taken to jail.

DUI: Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Colorado Highway 13 outside Rifle on March 12 at 10:35 p.m. After investigation, the driver, Nicholas Alan Pace, 24, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was taken to jail.

Order violation: Deputies responded to report of a protective order violation on County Road 335 outside New Castle on March 13 at 7:45 p.m. After investigation, David Adolphson, 54, of New Castle, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a restraining order and was taken to jail.

Burglary: Deputies responded to a burglary on County Road 214 outside Silt on March 14 at 6:39 p.m. The case is closed pending further leads.

Theft: Deputies responded to a shoplifting incident on Sipprelle Drive in Battlement Mesa on March 15 at 6:16 p.m. After investigation, Richard Owen Truitt, 38, was issued a summons for theft and released.

License revoked: Deputies conducted a traffic stop at East Third Street and East Avenue in Rifle on March 15 at 9:39 p.m. After investigation, Brandy Lynn Hunter, 35, of Grand Junction, was arrested on suspicion of driving while her license was revoked and having no license plates on her vehicle. She was taken to jail.

Restraining order violation: Deputies responded to a domestic incident on Apple Drive in the New Castle area on March 16 at 6 p.m. After investigation, Richard Alfred Medina, 43, of New Castle, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a restraining order and was taken to jail.

Lost firearm: Deputies took a report of a lost firearm on West Tamarack Circle in Battlement Mesa on March 16 at 10:22 a.m. The case is closed pending further leads.

Fraud: Deputies responded to a fraud case near Parachute on March 18 at 2:32 p.m. The case is open and under investigation.

Burglary: Deputies received a report of a possible burglary near Parachute on March 18 at 2:50 p.m. This case is open, pending further leads.

Theft: Deputies responded to a reported theft on U.S. Highway 6 east of Rifle on March 18 at 10:13 a.m. The case is closed pending further leads.
