Celebrate Easter and Spring Break at the Rifle Branch Library by searching for Little Peep, the library's baby chick. Little Peep loves hiding in the library, and every day he finds a new spot. If you find Little Peep anytime between now and March 29, tell a librarian, and you will receive a prize.

Maundy Thursday, March 28, 7 p.m. a service with Passover Seder echoes, celebrating Jesus' gift of Communion and his command to love as he loved us, with anointing with oil and foot washing.
Good Friday, March 29, noon (a meditative service contemplating the passion of Jesus Christ according to John's Gospel).
Good Friday, March 29, 7 p.m. (a service steeped in the mystery of Christ reigning from the cross, and including prayers for the whole world with contemplative music and candle lighting).
Saturday Vigil of Easter, March 30, 7 p.m. (a service of anticipation, celebrating God's light shining in the darkness throughout the stories of scripture and renewal of baptism).
Easter Sunday, March 31, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (a joyous celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, with Communion and full choir at both services). For more information, call 945-6848.
The public is welcome to attend the Rifle Lions Club 79th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 30, at Deerfield Park. The holiday fun begins at 9:45 a.m. with prize drawings followed by the egg hunt at 10 a.m. Ages newborn-9 may participate. For more questions, contact Norma Miller at 319-1505.
Hippity-hop on up to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for the annual mountain-top Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will hide 3,000 eggs around the park for kids to find, including six golden eggs with two Annual Thrill Passes to the park tucked inside each one. He will also be available for photographs. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 31.
Arrive at the base of the Iron Mountain tramway at least an hour early to make sure to get to the top in time. To avoid the rush, guests may come up in the morning and have lunch or try out some of the park's attractions. The Adventure Park will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tram ride and park admission cost $12 for adults; $8 for kids ages three to 12; and are free for children younger than three. Annual Thrill Pass and Annual Tram Pass holders ride the tram for free.
The Funday Pass will also be available for $30 per person; it includes a tram ride and park admission, and unlimited access to the 4D Motion Theater, Alpine Coaster and Laser Tag Arena. Guests may add a guided tour of Glenwood Caverns for $5. Call 945-4228, ext. 0, for more information.
