Easter Events

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1630 Grand Ave., is holding the following Holy Week worship services: Saturday Vigil of Easter, March 30, 7 p.m. (a service of anticipation, celebrating God's light shining in the darkness throughout the stories of scripture and renewal of baptism).Easter Sunday, March 31, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (a joyous celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, with Communion and full choir at both services). The public is welcome to attend the Rifle Lions Club 79th Annual Easter Egg hunt Saturday, March 30, at Deerfield Park. The holiday fun begins at 9:45 a.m. with prize drawings followed by the egg hunt at 10 a.m. Ages 0-9 may participate. For more questions, contact Norma Miller at 319-1505.

The Carbondale Recreation Department presents its free Easter egg hunt for ages 1-8 on Saturday, March 30, at Sopris Park. Registration for the Easter basket raffle begins at 9 a.m., with a 10 a.m. shotgun start for the egg hunt. Bring a basket to collect the eggs, and be on time because the hunt only lasts a few minutes. Participants will be divided up according to age. Raffle winners will be drawn following the hunt.

There will be a free Easter egg hunt for ages 6 months to 12 years at Crown Mountain Park, 501 Eagle County Drive, in El Jebel starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30. The hunt begins at the pavilion and will continue until all 4,000 eggs are found. Bring a basket and weather appropriate clothing. Event will be held rain, snow or shine. Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park Easter funHippity-hop on up to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for the annual mountain-top Easter Egg Hunt Sunday, March 31. The Easter Bunny will hide 3,000 eggs around the park for kids to find beginning at 1 p.m., including six golden eggs with that include Annual Thrill Passes. He will also be available for photographs.Arrive at the Iron Mountain Tramway at least an hour early to make sure to get to the top in time. To avoid the rush, guests may come up in the morning and have lunch or try out some of the park's attractions. The Adventure Park will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tram ride and park admission cost is $12 for adults; $8 for kids ages three to 12; and are free for children younger than three. Annual Thrill Pass and Annual Tram Pass holders ride the tram for free.The Funday Pass will also be available for $30, which includes a tram ride, park admission, and unlimited access to the 4D Motion Theater, Alpine Coaster and Laser Tag Arena. Join Mountain View Church at 9:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 31, for an MVC Kids Egg Hunt for children from birth through fifth grade and fellowship and refreshments for everyone. Praise and Worship service follows at 10:15 a.m. Childcare is provided for infants through age 3 beginning at 10 a.m., and an exciting MVC Kids program dismisses mid-service for children ages 4 through second grade.
