Community meeting set for Las Colonias Park Master Plan

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The City of Grand Junction is inviting the community to provide suggestions and feedback regarding the most recent revision to the Las Colonias Park master plan on Wednesday, April 10 between 5:30 and 7 p.m. at Two Rivers Convention Center.

Las Colonias Park is a 101-acre park north of the Colorado River, south of the Riverside Parkway, and just east of the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. This property was previously a mill tailings site and, upon clean-up, was deeded over to the City of Grand Junction.

The park has been master planned twice before this current effort, so community feedback is integral to its future development.

Thoughts, opinions, and suggestions are valued regarding the proposed conceptual design.

Questions regarding the plan can be directed to Traci Wieland at 970-254-3846 or via email at
