GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado - Traffic delays, including a 20-minute full closure the morning of Tuesday, April 9, will effect traffic at the Interstate 70 Exit 116 interchange while an overhead electrical line is replaced.
The Glenwood Springs Electric Department will be relocating an overhead electrical line that is currently supported by a roadway light. The light is scheduled to be removed at a later date, as part of a CDOT maintenance project replacing the roadway lighting along I-70. The electric department has installed a new utility pole to hang the wire from.
I-70 just east of Exit 116 will be closed from 11 a.m. to 11: 20 a.m. while the line is relocated.
In addition, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a single-lane closure in each direction on I-70 near the interchange.
