Editor's note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Underage drinking: At 2:10 a.m. on April 5, police contacted a man for acting suspiciously around a business in the 2100 block of Grand Avenue after hours. Upon contact, Police detected signs of intoxication and Martin Stanley Gerdin, 20, of Snowmass Village, was issued a summons for underage drinking.
Warrant arrest: At 11:17 a.m. on April 8, police contacted a man with an active warrant in the 100 block of Garfield Avenue. Heriberto Noe Vargas-Herrera, 33, of New Castle, was arrested and lodged in the county jail on the warrant.
Cocaine: At 11:30 a.m. on April 8, police responded to a call of a woman using a schedule II controlled substance in the 2300 block of Bennett Avenue. Officers contacted and arrested Tabitha Colleen Weber, 24, of Glenwood Springs, and charged her with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, use of a schedule II controlled substance - cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was lodged at the Garfield County Jail on the charges.
