GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado - The Glenwood Springs High School girls soccer team improved to 8-2-0 overall and 7-2-0 in Class 4A Western Slope League play with a 5-1 victory over Delta on Monday.
Lilly McSwain scored a goal and added an assist for the Demons, who finished with 21 shots on goal against the Panthers.
Also scoring for Glenwood was Jenna Brown, Lynsey Atkinson, Danni Benzel and Ellie Austin. Jackie Knott and Diana Banks each had assists for Glenwood, which blew the match open in the second half after holding a 1-0 advantage in the first 40 minutes.
Glenwood continues league play with a home match against Eagle Valley at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
VAIL, Colorado - Roaring Fork High School's girls soccer team pushed its winning streak to five matches with a decisive 4-0 victory over Vail Christian on Monday.
Nayeli Alfaro, Taylor Adams, Heidi Smalls and Esveidy Campos each had one goal and one assist to lead the balanced effort for the Rams (7-1-1 overall, 3-1-1 Class 3A Western Slope League play).
Roaring Fork continues league play with a match at Moffat County in Craig this afternoon.
