OUR School Preschool invites everyone to the fourth annual fundraising play, "Bad Guy Dinosaurs Die," at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24. The play will take place at 3126 S. Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs just south of Berthod Motors. It was written by the students and based on the interests of the children. From costumes to sets, the kids do it all. For the first time, OUR School's toddlers will be the opening performance for our headlining Preschoolers.

Physical therapist Karen Church will give a multi-media presentation on knee pain where attendees can learn simple anatomy of common injuries and effective strategies that heal. Digital images by will enhance visual learning and inspiration for optimal health. Presentations are from 4-5:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Cooper Room of the Hotel Denver, Cost is $10. All ages welcome at a bowling party for James Kennedy. Enjoy a full hour of bowling, including shoes, at Burning Mountain Bowl in New Castle between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24. $10 donation per ticket ($30 value). The Friends of the Gordon Cooper Branch Library will be hosting the Spring Book Sale from Friday, April 19, through Saturday, April 27, during regular library hours. Don't miss the special preview for Friends members from 1-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Memberships are available at the door. Donated dollars support library programs and materials, and even the new library building, which will open this summer. Volunteers are needed to help with the sale. Join John Norton of Accelerate Human Performance in a local celebration of World Tai Chi Day. He will demonstrate and lead a simple class of Tai Chi-related exercises to promote individual and worldwide healing. Thousands of people around the world will be participating in Tai Chi at 10 a.m. in all of the time zones around the world. April is National Poetry Month, and the Rifle Branch Library is celebrating with a community poetry project. Throughout the month, the library invites you to try your hand at writing a poem in various formats using pre-selected words. So, stop by the library, select your words from the Poetic Pockets, use those words in your poem, and then turn in your masterpiece at the front desk to share it with our community.
