Bridge Blog: Nighttime pedestrian bridge impacts this week

June 26: Grand Avenue pedestrian bridge detours will be in effect during the nighttime hours from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Pedestrians should use the existing temporary walkway on the vehicle bridge during these times. Also, motorists should anticipate intermittent lane closures on the bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.


June 22: Ninth Street from Cooper Avenue to Grand Avenue will be closed from 8 am to noon while crews finish paving. To access streets east of Grand Avenue, motorists should use the left turn pocket on 10th Street. Pedestrian access to Ninth Street businesses will remain open.


Looking ahead: On Monday, June 26, Laurel Street will be converted to a northbound one-way street from Sixth Street to Fifth Street for approximately two months. More info here.

Wednesday, June 31, through Friday, June 2, Eighth Street will be closed from Colorado to Grand avenues and Cooper to Grand avenues.


Ongoing: The I-70 Exit 116 eastbound on-ramp remains closed Monday through Friday from 5:30-9 a.m. The I-70 Exit 116 eastbound off-ramp will be open.
