The Glenwood Springs Planning and Zoning Commission continues its public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday regarding a 506-acre annexation and 413-home subdivision proposal on Four Mile Road known as Glenwood Ridge.
P&Z is scheduled to hear details about the developer’s anticipated traffic impacts and mitigation plan, including a proposal to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Four Mile and Midland Avenue. Public comments on traffic issues will be taken after that presentation.
Representatives of Florida-based developer Elk Meadows Properties are also slated to talk about the economic impacts of the project.
That will be followed by another opportunity for general public comments, according to the agenda for the meeting tonight.
A final meeting before P&Z is scheduled for April 22, at which the commission is expected to make a recommendation on the proposal to Glenwood Springs City Council.
May 15 is the first scheduled hearing date before council.
Glenwood Ridge involves the former Bershenyi and Martino ranches, situated on either side of Four Mile Road (Garfield County Road 117) just beyond the existing Four Mile Ranch development, about 1.5 miles southwest of the Midland Avenue/Four Mile intersection.
