The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) says it has received a strong response to a survey designed to gauge current and future transportation needs in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys from Aspen to Parachute, and including Snowmass Village.
But the study team, which involves researchers with the Sonoran Institute, is hoping to receive additional responses through May 5.
Employees who have already been contacted about the survey through their employer are strongly encouraged to complete the survey, RFTA said in a news release.
Anyone who has not been contacted through their employer is encouraged take the survey online at www.TransportationSurvey.net.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and respondents will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for grocery gift cards.
Officials said the survey data will be used extensively by local area governments, the Colorado Department of Transportation and RFTA in planning and developing transportation systems and services for motor vehicles (traffic), public transit, walking and bicycling.
This will be the third study of its type done in the area. Previous studies were completed in 1998 and 2004.
The survey will be available online through May 5.
