Glenwood Springs’ home of Doc Holliday’s grave needs volunteers

Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers plans work Saturday, June 7, to help maintain and improve Glenwood Springs’ Linwood Cemetery, home to the grave of Doc Holliday and one of Glenwood’s top tourist draws.

The attraction faces problems from an increasing number of visitors and heavy rains that have caused some erosion in the cemetery and on the trail that leads up to the site.

Children are welcome to help with the project, with supervised, age-appropriate activities planned.

The cleanup time is 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

June 7 is National Trails Day. RFOV and its partners will provide tools, instruction and leadership, as well as dinner for volunteers at the end of the day.
