Thief takes safe from Iron Mountain Hot Springs
Authorities are looking for help identifying the person who broke into Iron Mountain Hot Springs early on Monday and got away with a small safe.
Glenwood Springs Police Chief Terry Wilson described the crime as a “smash and grab” and said that the department was following up on several leads.
Although the burglar appeared to have arrived and left the scene on foot, Wilson noted that a stolen vehicle was later recovered nearby, and a similar theft was reported at Catherine Store.
“Whether all of those things are tied together we can’t say for sure, but it is a pretty strong coincidence,” he observed.
