Three-year-old Aislynn Gore of New Castle usually gets around in her little wheelchair, but every Tuesday she spends her mornings riding on Dandi, her favorite pony, thanks to the Riding Institute for Disabled Equestrians (RIDE) on Silt Mesa. Aislynn was born with spina bifida, a defect of the spine often resulting in paralysis of the legs. This Tuesday she was assisted by volunteers Debbie Bair, left, Becca Mitchell, center, and Erin Rayne. RIDE is a nonprofit organization offering horseback riding therapy to developmentally and physically disabled children and adults. For more information or to help sponsor a horse or rider, find them on Facebook.
