Sept. 27 is National Plug In (vehicle) Day, and the public is invited to a plug-in vehicle display and presentation, 3-4:30 p.m. at Carbondale Town Hall.
Attendees will be able to test drive a Chevy Volt from Mountain Chevrolet and learn about plug-in vehicles, which are fun to drive, cost less to fuel, and offer clean-air benefits. This event is part of the third annual National Plug In Day. Free pizza will be served.
The event will include:
• 3 p.m. presentation about plug-in vehicles, tax incentives, and infrastructure
• 3:30-4:30 p.m. Chevy Volt test drives. Vehicle display including: Nissan Leaf (electric vehicle) and Ford C-MAX Energi (plug-in hybrid). Charging demonstrations using the Town of Carbondale’s new Level 2 charger.
Experts from local clean energy organizations CLEER, CORE, and Northern Colorado Clean Cities will be on hand to discuss local plug-in vehicle deployment efforts and tax incentives.
The event is presented by Northern Colorado Clean Cities, CLEER, CORE, Mountain Chevrolet, town of Carbondale, Garfield Clean Energy, the Electric Auto Association, and Plug In America.
