Get a jump on the Halloween fun this weekend. This sampling of fall functions can entertain kids of all ages, right here in the scenic Roaring Fork Valley.
Halloween Extravaganza at the Glenwood Springs Community Center (in partnership with GSES PTA). 4-7pm Saturday. Carnival, bounce house, costume contests, skating and many more activities. Parents (with paying children) and kids under 3 are free. Tickets available at the door for $7 each. Concessions will be available the night of the event.
Crystal River Elementary: Halloween Happening
CARBONDALE — Children’s games, a haunted house, storytelling, face painting, food sales and a silent auction. A parade of costumed children tops off the evening. Proceeds benefit Crystal River Elementary School PTO.

Glenwood Springs Mall: Haunted House of Horrors
GLENWOOD SPRINGS — The Venture Crew and Boy Scout Troop 225 of Glenwood Springs present the third annual Haunted House of Horrors in the Glenwood Springs Mall. Early hours from 6-7:30 p.m. each night are less scary for younger children.

REDSTONE — Survive this 40-minute ride through the Haunted Forest on a fun autumn hayride.

Frontier Historical Society: 14th annual Historic Ghost Walk
GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Tours each night lead walkers up the hill by lantern light to the old Linwood Cemetery, where costumed actors portray pioneers from Glenwood Springs’ past, including Doc Holliday and Kid Curry. Homemade cookies and hot apple cider will be served at the bottom of the hill after each tour.
