Join the Glenwood Springs Branch Library at Rocky Mountain Pizza Co. for an evening of spirited conversation and literary meanderings. Read any good books lately? Here’s your chance to talk about them and hear about books that adults in our community are reading. Be the first one to read free books from the Book Train. This program repeats on the second Tuesday of each month. 10 percent discount on all food and beverages for attendees. Our inaugural meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12. Tech Night for Parents & Students



Make succeeding in school easier by learning about the different kinds of technology available through the schools, libraries and Internet. Tech Nights will be held on the second Wednesday through April and cover new topics each month. January’s topics will be PowerSchool and the library’s online catalog. Staff from Garfield Re-2 and the libraries will be on-hand to present and provide help. Light refreshments served. Join us at the Rifle Branch Library at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13. Want to get pinning? This introductory class at the Parachute Branch Library will help get your Pinterest account set up, create or follow boards, find pins, make your own pins, and connect with friends. Please bring your email or Facebook login information to get started. We will have laptops and iPads available, but feel free to bring your own device. Introduction to 3D Printing

Visit the Carbondale Branch Library to learn about our 3D printer and explore how 3D printing is being used to create solutions around the world. Ask any questions you may have about 3D printing technology and discover how you can use the library’s new Lulzbot Mini 3D printer. This free class will be offered at noon Thursday, Jan. 14, and repeated at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18. For more information, call 970-963-2889.

Calling all kids and teens who love playing with technology. Visit the Silt Branch Library at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, to try your hand at a variety of engaging and fun coding activities.
