Christmas Eve Celebration — 5 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 1016 Cooper Ave., Glenwood Springs. We are hosting a simple, yet meaningful Christmas Eve event for families with young children or the young at heart. Come as you are to see and hear the Christmas story and sing some carols.



Lessons, Carols, Candlelight — 7 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 1016 Cooper Ave, Glenwood Springs. Seeking a meaningful, simple and traditional Christmas Eve experience? If you enjoy singing carols and are wanting a celebratory and yet serene invitation to welcome the Christ child, join us. We urge you to come early as parking can be a challenge.

Christmas Eve Service — 6 p.m., Carbondale Community United Methodist Church, 385 S. Second St., Carbondale. Come early to hear the Bell Choir at 6 p.m. and bring the children for a no-practice Christmas story pageant beginning at 6:30 p.m. We need Mary and Joseph, shepherds, angels, wise men, etc. Candlelight service to follow pageant. All are welcome.



Christmas Eve Service — 9 p.m., Carbondale Community United Methodist Church, 385 S. Second St., Carbondale. Traditional, contemplative Christmas Eve Candle Light Service. All are welcome, A more traditional contemplative service, please join us.

Community Candlelight Celebrations — 4 p.m. & 6:30 p.m., The Orchard, 110 Snowmass Drive, Carbondale. Also Centro Cristiano Getsemani will take place at 8 p.m. (Limited translation equipment is available.) Two live nativity re-enactments will be held at the outdoor amphitheater on site at the church at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. All are welcome. The Gathering Center will be open from 4:30-8 p.m. Dec. 24. Hot chocolate, cookies, cakes and coffee will be available. Patrons are asked to bring a plate of Christmas cookies to share at the Gathering Center.
